Interesting Facts




  • “Microwaves have wavelengths that can be measured in centimeters! The longer microwaves, those closer to a foot in length, are the waves which heat our food in a microwave oven”[1].



  • The microwave was discovered by accident, when its inventor walked by a magnetron and a candy bar melted in his pocket[2]!



  • A common myth is that microwaving food is unhealthy and unsafe[3], this was proven wrong by the FDA.
